The collection contains Russell's scrapbooks, additional photographs, correspondence and printed material. One scrapbook documents Russell's time with the Chape Hour Concert Unit. The second scrapbook covers the 50th birthday party that Russell threw for himself. The additional photographs are primarily of his 65th birthday party. The printed material includes issues of the Barksdale Field newspaper, programs, and clippings.
